Our site is a first site in Uzbekistan completely devoted thoroughbred Ahalteke breed of horses which history totals more than 5000 years, here you can learn about a history of this breed and its history in Uzbekistan. Ahaltekes - is the very rare and oustanding breed of horses also known as "Argamak", "Gold horses of Parfia", "Horses of Nissa" and "Paradise horses". The history of this breed totals many millenia, in Amir Timur's armies there were flying groups of horsemans which have consisted strictly of horses of this breed. Though this breed takes the name from Turkmen oasis Ahal and also Turkmenian tribe Teke which had deduce Ahal Teke. But in history there are many examples showing, that ahaltekes were ranged in territory of our country too. So, for example, in territory of Bukhara area rock drawings of these horses have been found. It is necessary to notice, that Ahalteke breed also differs surprising beauty and grace so even on ancient figures it is possible to understand our ancestors wanted to represent whom. Now in the world it is totaled about 2.000 thoroughbred breeding horses of Ahalteke breeds. Unfortunately, in a Republic a small livestock and we use the best efforts to change a situation to the best.

« Star of Turkestan 2010»
So ended another long-awaited and, undoubtedly, important championship for horse breeders and horse lovers.
Championship lasted 3 days, from 7 to 9 May.
Guests and members of our championship began arriving on May 6. Among them were: President WATO, nach.kon. Stavropol Stud - AS Klimuk; Director of the stud name Shamborant - Babayev L.I.; Director stud Gurtbil - Motsar M.; T.N. Ryabova of VNIIK; V.I. Kahn from Krasnodar; representative of the Museum of Horse Breeding and editor of the magazine «Ahalteke Inform» - N. Kuznetsov, from Moscow Nadezhda Tarasova and photographers Arthur Baboyev (Russia) and Vitaly Osovski (Ukraine); Sharipov, a well-known horseman, from Turkmenistan, the representative of the Association of Akhal Stud Kazakhstan, as well as, director of the stud - Dick Ya.Ya. (Almaty) in Kazakhstan; breeders lovers, spouses Kurbanov (Jambul).
May 7, the first day of the tournament, began with the inspection of horses from the farms Ahalteke sher. Judges commission headed by Chief Justice Klimuk A.S. began to peer review Akhal-Teke horses. Assessing the horses, went to stud "Uzbegim", where at 10 o'clock in the morning run starts at a distance of 10 km, in the amount of 6 horses.
The winners were:
I. Hamithonov Zhavohir horse Guvanchli with the result 03.03
II. II. Khodjayev Hassan horse Kukcha and Khusanov Murodzhon horse Gerchek with the result 03.09
III. III. Eshboev Sherzod horse Kaysar with the result 03.26
Further inspection of the horses began farming "Uzbegim". This examination took the whole day, because livestock of horses is a large number.
May 8 - the day broods-exhibitions
Organizing committee of Uzbekistan Association of AhalTeke Breeding has decided this year to conduct brood-exhibition «Stars of Turkestan 2010» at the economy of "Uzbegim". And Jumping «Stars of Turkestan 2010» - in territory of the Tashkent hippodrome.
The ring of yearling was the first. There were perfectly grown up mares. As it seemed to me, this ring was pleasant to visitors and judges especially.
The winners were:

Then came colts Yearlings:
I. Makhtum
II. Tohtadoz (from Takhtamysh and Mellemaral) I

Then the two-year mare:
I. Honzada (from Hamlet and Dilara)
II. Chic (from Shagirt and Karacharaz)
III. Muyassar
Further two-year stallions:
I. Maglumat (from Aylazat and namesake)
II. Aydym (from Melesur and Aymengli)
III. Altynbek (from Bitaraplyk and Altyn)
Next ring was the ring of three-year age and more senior horses (on a desperate request of madam Rjabova, we have not divided this ring, what usually mustn’t be so) in which have won:
Three year mares:
I. Gremkan
II. Guzalli (from Peydali and Novsona)
III. Sayyora (from Keimir 2 and Marquis)
Three year stallions:
I. Akmanglay (from Melesur and Anapa)
II. Turmak (from Rehimdar and Tradition)
III. Rhythm (from Gazyr and Rugiya)
Stallions of advanced age:
I. Guvachli
II. Gujch
III. Garahan
And at last, the nomination of the absolute champion among champions to general surprise was the mare Dzhamilja.
On May, 9th Jumping was conducted. 12 goals of horses of different breeds have participated in it. The route height constituted 135 cm. The stallion on a nickname Aksakal, born in the Lugovsky horse-breeding centre, has won.
Rewarding conducted chief justice Klimuk À.Ñ.è Babaev L.I., putting on a blanket to the winner « Star of Turkestan 2010».
Visitors and judges of our championship, who visit us every year, responded with admiration about quality of a livestock of horses.
I wish to notice that realization of the given championship already in 7 times speaks about stability, and increase in a livestock and fans breeders, about high interest to unique breed of ahaltekin horses.
I should inform my dear colleagues, that the government of Uzbekistan, and in particular the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan, constantly support all undertakings UAAB with the purposes of popularization horsebreeding and equestrian sport of ahaltekin horses. The certificate of that is the championship under the name «Star of Turkestan» included by the Culture and Sports Ministry in the state planned schedule of conducted sports actions.
As with huge pleasure I wish to inform, the Ministry of Agriculture together with UAAB develops the plan for the edition of the state breeding book, thoroughbred ahaltekin horses of Uzbekistan.
As you know, our athletes have not once traveled to international competitions, in particular, at the World Cup "Heavenly argamak" and "World Cup" held in Moscow.
Uzbekistan Association of Akhal Breeding for the benefit of preserving the unique breed of Akhal-Teke horses closely and supported by many international organizations, in particular WATO.
In our immediate plans include visiting the "World Cup" and the championship of France.
World AhalTeke Organization(WATO) and Uzbekistan Association of AhalTeke Breeding are inviting all AhalTeke breed lovers to Open Central Asia International Championship of Ahalteke Breed horses: The Star of Turkestan 2009, which will be held from 1st to 3rd may of 2009 year.
